In review: Behringer EDGE – a Moog DFAM clone for the better or worse?

As unspectacular as Edge may seem at first glance, the sound results are all the more impressive. No surprise, after all, the concept and the sound generation of the innovative Moog DFAM were adopted almost unchanged. The small synthesizer offers analog drums and percussion in excellent quality, but also delivers convincing FM and sync sounds for bass lines and arpeggios. The advantages over the Moog DFAM, in addition to the significantly lower price, are the control and synchronization via MIDI or USB, pink noise and the larger potentiometers for the sequencer.
